How to choose a UX course.
Most UX courses and UX design training in the UK fall into one of three formats: self-paced video (cheap, no accountability, high dropout), a bootcamp with a fixed multi-thousand-pound price and a rigid schedule, or live online classes with a small cohort. What you should actually compare is not price alone but three things: whether teaching is live (a real instructor answering your questions that week, not a recorded video), whether you leave with a real client project rather than a self-directed exercise, and whether the schedule fits around a job you are still working while you train.

Is the course online or in-person?
Every course in UX design at UX Academy is 100% live online: small UX design classes over Zoom, no in-person attendance and no commute. You can join from anywhere in the UK or abroad, and every session is recorded.
Which UX course is right for me?
If you are changing careers and want a job in UX, start with Beginner UX (AI) Design (£1,500). Beginner graduates can then extend with the UX Career Track (£1,000) for a second live client brief and 1:1 job support (register-interest only), and the full path is £2,500 over 12 weeks. If you already have 3+ years and want to advance, choose Advanced UX Design or Product Design. If you want strategic influence, choose UX Strategy. Already comfortable with the basics and want to specialise? Accessibility for UX is a standalone course open to anyone with some design experience.
Do I need any experience to take a UX design course?
Beginner UX (AI) Design requires no prior design experience. Every other course on this page requires at least 1 year of relevant experience -- most ask for 3 or more.
How long does each course take?
Beginner UX (AI) Design is 8 weeks; the UX Career Track extension adds 4 weeks (12 weeks for the full job-ready path). Advanced UX Design and Product Design are 6 weeks. UX Strategy is 4 weeks. Accessibility for UX is 6 weeks. All run on Wednesday evenings, 6:00 to 8:30pm UK time.
What is the difference between a UX design course and a UI design course?
A UX design course teaches research, information architecture and testing -- how you decide what to build and why. A UI course teaches visual interface design -- how a screen looks. Every course at UX Academy teaches UX first and treats visual UI skill as one input into that process, because that is how UX roles are hired for in the UK market.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. All courses issue a certificate on completion. It does not expire. It is issued by Nomadic User Ltd, trading as UX Academy -- we are not accredited by a government body, and most employers do not require that for UX roles. What hiring managers look for is a portfolio with a real client project, which every course builds toward.
What if I change my mind?
Your £99 deposit is refundable within 14 days of booking. Cancel after that but before the course starts and the deposit is forfeited; once the course has started no refund is available.
