Common questions

Do I need an account to build a tree test?

No. You can build a tree test, preview it as a participant and download your results without signing up. You only sign in (free, by email link) when you want to share the study with participants or save your work.

How do I get my navigation into the tool?

Type it in level by level, or paste an indented outline and the tool turns it into a tree. Trees can go up to five levels deep.

Can a task have more than one correct answer?

Yes. Tick every destination that counts as correct, up to 10 per task. An answer is right if it matches any of them.

What do the results show?

Success rate and directness for each task, plus a pietree showing where people went. You can download the responses as a CSV or print the results to PDF.

Can I stop a study automatically?

Yes. Set a response limit, a close date, or both, and the study stops taking responses on its own. You can also close it by hand at any time.

Is this made by Optimal Workshop?

No. Treejack is an Optimal Workshop product. This is a separate tool built by UX Academy and we are not affiliated with them.
