Who teaches at UX Academy?

UX Academy courses are taught by named, active industry practitioners. Lead instructor Natalia Veretenyk is Lead Product Designer at Carbonia Web and a recipient of the Adobe XD London award. Is UX Academy accredited?

No. UX Academy is not accredited by a government body, and we do not claim accreditation we do not hold. It is not a university and does not offer degree-level qualifications. Graduates receive a UX Academy certificate issued by Nomadic User Ltd, which does not expire and is outcomes-focused: it names the live project you completed, the skills you demonstrated, and the instructor who assessed your work. Most employers hiring for entry-level UX roles do not require accreditation - they look at your portfolio and the specificity of what you built.

Why we exist

The best way to learn UX is to do it.

The best way to learn UX design: a real instructor, a real project, a small group at the same stage as you. Not videos. Not slides. Design, get feedback, iterate, get unstuck in real time.

General Assembly London: £9,000. We kept cohorts small, instructors named, and prices a fraction of that — £1,500 for the 8-week foundation, stackable to £2,500 over 12 weeks, including a second live client project and 1:1 job support.

Graduates work across the UK. Every cohort includes a real client project. Every instructor is an active practitioner.

2020

UX Academy founded in London. First cohort of 8 students.

Jonathan Hill

Jonathan is Senior Product Designer at localhost.company. He was previously Corporate UX Design Lead at the Kistler Group, leading that organisation’s design strategy, and before that a UX Researcher at the University of Vienna Applied Sciences. He specialises in influencing project teams to make user-centred decisions that serve both business and user goals, and is especially interested in the value of design and the scaling of design systems.
