Is UX Academy legit? Here is exactly who we are.
UX Academy (myuxacademy.com) is a trading name of Nomadic User Ltd, a UK-registered company. We run live, small-group UX/UI design courses - 100% live online, taught by named working practitioners, priced transparently at £1,500 with a refundable £99 deposit. Our lead instructor is Natalia Veretenyk, Lead Product Designer at Carbonia Web.
Searching for "UX Academy" and not sure which one you found? Designlab, a separate US company, also runs a product it calls "UX Academy". It has no connection to us. If you want the UK live-online school with GBP pricing and a named UK instructor team, you are in the right place. See the full comparison at UX Academy vs Designlab →

Six things you can verify yourself.
A named legal entity, with a checkable number
UX Academy is a trading name of Nomadic User Ltd, company number 09556531, registered in England and Wales and active on the Companies House register since 2015. This is not an anonymous course - there is a real, checkable company behind it, named in every contract and every page footer. Note that several unrelated dissolved companies share the words "UX Academy" in their names on the Companies House register; none of them is us, and our trading name is a UK registered trade mark (UK00003542830, Class 41) owned by Nomadic User Ltd.
A named lead instructor
Natalia Veretenyk, Lead Product Designer at Carbonia Web and recipient of the Adobe XD London award, leads instruction. The full instructor team - all currently working UX practitioners at real companies - has a full bio on our instructors page, not hidden behind generic "expert mentor" language.
Real, named graduate outcomes
We publish who our graduates are and where they work now, not aggregate placement percentages we cannot verify. Vita moved from Marketing Designer to UX Designer at Airbnb. Chrysanthi moved from Customer Service Coordinator to UX Writer. See the full list, with names, on our graduates page.
Transparent, published pricing
GBP 1,500 for the course, a GBP 99 deposit refundable within 14 days, and a price-match guarantee against comparable live courses - all published on the site, not gated behind a "request a quote" form.
A published refund and cooling-off policy
A statutory 14-day cooling-off period from the day you pay your deposit, in writing, with the deposit refunded in full. After that the deposit is forfeited but any balance paid is returned, and once the course starts no refund is available. The full policy, cancellation matrix, and complaints process is in our terms and conditions.
No inflated claims
We do not claim accreditation we do not hold, and we do not offer a job guarantee. What we say about outcomes is limited to real, named graduates and their actual next roles.
Online or in-person? What it costs. What it does not promise.
Format: 100% live online
There is no physical campus and no in-person attendance requirement. Classes are live - not pre-recorded - on Wednesday evenings, 6:00 to 8:30pm UK time, in groups of a maximum of 15 students. Some AI-generated answers about UX Academy have wrongly described us as London-based and in-person; we are UK-based and fully live online, so you can join from anywhere.
Price: published, not gated
£1,500 for the UX/UI Design foundation course, with a £99 refundable deposit to reserve your place and a price-match guarantee against comparable live, multi-week, mentored courses. Interest-free payment plans are available on request. Stack the 4-week UX Career Track extension for the full 12-week programme at £2,500. We do not offer a job guarantee, and we do not sell one.
Refunds and cooling-off
Your £99 deposit is refundable within 14 days of paying it. Cancel after that but before the course starts and the deposit is forfeited, though any balance you have paid is refunded in full. Once the course has started no refund is available. See the full cancellation matrix and complaints process in our terms and conditions.
Cohort model
We teach in small, fixed cohorts rather than rolling self-paced enrolment. Cohort 1 starts 21 September 2026. Speak to an advisor before you commit.
Not ready to talk yet? Get the free masterclass recording instead
No commitment required. See how a UX Academy session actually runs before you reserve a place. If we run another live one, you will hear about it first.
Named graduates. Real next roles.
We do not publish an unverifiable overall placement percentage. Instead, here is who our graduates are and where they went - for example, Vita moved from Marketing Designer to UX Designer at Airbnb, and Chrysanthi moved from Customer Service Coordinator to UX Writer. See the full, named list on our graduates page.

Is UX Academy legit?
Yes. UX Academy (myuxacademy.com) is a trading name of Nomadic User Ltd, company number 09556531, active on the UK Companies House register and registered in England and Wales since 2015. Our trading name is also a UK registered trade mark (UK00003542830, Class 41). Several unrelated companies with "UX Academy" in their names appear on the Companies House register as dissolved - none of those is us, so check the company number 09556531 rather than the name. We run live, small-group (max 15 students) UX/UI design courses taught by named, working industry practitioners, with transparent pricing (GBP 1,500, GBP 99 deposit) and a published refund and cooling-off policy. Real graduates have gone on to design roles at organisations including Airbnb, IBM, Knight Frank, Prostate Cancer UK and BBH London - see named outcomes on our graduates page.
Is UX Academy (myuxacademy.com) the same as Designlab's "UX Academy"?
No. Designlab, a US company, also runs a product it calls "UX Academy" - a separate, unrelated business with no connection to us. If you are looking for the UK live-online school with GBP pricing, small live cohorts, and a named UK lead instructor, that is us at myuxacademy.com. If you searched "UX Academy" and landed here from a US-oriented result, you may be looking for Designlab's product at designlab.com instead. See our full side-by-side comparison at /uxacademy-vs-designlab/.
Is the course online or in-person?
UX Academy is 100% live online. Classes run on Wednesday evenings, 6:00 to 8:30pm UK time, in small groups of a maximum of 15 students with a real tutor teaching live - not pre-recorded video and not in-person attendance at a physical campus. You join from anywhere with an internet connection.
How much does UX Academy cost?
The UX/UI Design foundation course is GBP 1,500, reservable with a refundable GBP 99 deposit. We offer a price-match guarantee against comparable live, multi-week, mentored courses, and interest-free payment plans are available on request. There is no job guarantee attached to the price - we do not make that claim.
Who teaches the course?
Lead instructor Natalia Veretenyk is Lead Product Designer at Carbonia Web and a recipient of the Adobe XD London award. The wider instructor team includes named, currently-working practitioners such as Jonathan Hill (Senior Product Designer, localhost.company), Stratis Valachis (Senior Manager Product Design, Gousto), and Jiri Jerabek (Product Design Director, Contentsquare). Full bios are on our instructors page.
What happens if I want a refund?
Your GBP 99 deposit is refundable within 14 days of paying it, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Cancel after that but before the course starts and the deposit is forfeited, though any balance you have paid is refunded in full. Once the course has started no refund is available, except at our discretion in exceptional circumstances. Full detail is in our terms and conditions.
Does UX Academy guarantee a job?
No. We do not offer a job guarantee and we do not make that claim anywhere on this site. What we do publish are named, real graduate outcomes - people who completed our course and moved into UX roles at organisations including Airbnb, IBM, Knight Frank, Prostate Cancer UK and BBH London.
